The 2025 WA Data and Innovation Summit was an entirely online event. The agenda was a mix of keynote and data presentations, with a highlight being WA Healthcare teams sharing implemented initiatives from the frontline.
In response the Western Australia’s vast geography, multi-cultural population, and separation from the more populous east coast, the theme of the 2025 WA Data & Innovation Summit sought to explore healthcare inequity:
- Does it exist in the WA health system?
- Which cohorts of patients are impacted?
- How does inequity in WA compare to other parts of Australia?
Three types of inequity were explored:
- Regionality
- Cultural
- Age
